Giuseppina Chiri - Lurie Doctoral Fellow 

Giuseppina ChiriGiuseppina Chiri, PhD’17, successfully defended her dissertation titled “The Emergence and Evolution of Autism Policy: A Constructionist Analysis of Federal Legislation 1973-2016,” investigating whether socially-derived beliefs about the merits and worthiness of individuals with autism had become embedded in autism laws.

Currently she is a health research analyst at RTI International where she is involved in the evaluation of various payment and service delivery initiatives sponsored by the CMS Innovation Center. Among other things, she is responsible for the analytic planning and statistical analysis of these federal initiatives.

Giusi's research interests include understanding the social and health care service needs of adults with autism and identifying gaps in research, programs and services that support them.
