Frank S. Li, MFA, Research Associate

Photo of Frank LiFrank Li is a Research Associate at the Lurie Institute for Disability Policy at Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management. He has several years of experience in data management, graphic design, and geographic information systems (GIS). Previous to joining Lurie, Frank has worked both in other academic policy research groups and in the private sector testing and developing GIS software and cartographic data. He holds a B.A. in Urban Planning and Music Composition from the University of California, San Diego, an M.F.A. in Composition and Theory from Brandeis University, and a GIS Technician Certificate from San Diego Mesa College. He is currently completing his Master's of Public Policy at The Heller School.

In addition to policy research work, Frank is a composer, writer, and visual artist whose creative pursuits tend toward the abstract, sociopolitical, and digital. In addition to individual pieces, he is working on an hour-length interdisciplinary multimedia project integrating all three disciplines.
